A Day of brightness
A Day of Brightness.
After some dark and rainy days, the day of our last working bee was fine and sunny.
There were a few jobs to be done; some more seed processing, and also a touch-up of the painting on the Community Garden signboard. Continue reading “A Day of brightness”
An Enjoyable Day in the Sun
An Enjoyable Day in the Sun.
It has been sometime since we last posted an article on the website, as we have had to cancel several previous working bees because of the weather.
Winter is generally a time of dormancy as far as growth goes, although there are still plenty of jobs to do, such as mulching over all the beds, harvesting ripened seeds, and taking care of the worms in the worm-farm. Continue reading “An Enjoyable Day in the Sun”

2 Jun 16 UCG Event this Sunday the 5th of June from 10am
Hey Everyone,
As Sorcha and I will be away this weekend attending a Divine Truth seminar the day will be lead by Joanne Renfrey. The forecast at this point is looking great for a nice drop of rain, so if it is raining close to 10am or rain is clearly on the way then the event will be cancelled. In the case that it is a clear morning then please bring water, gloves, work shoes, a hat and any other protective equipment you may need. Also any tools (especially wheelbarrows) you think would help with your activities in the garden.
Looking forward to catching up when we get back.
Kind Regards,
David Ryan

17 May 16 UCG Thank You + Event this Sunday the 22nd of May from 10am
Hey Everyone,
Id like to say a big Thank You from the Uralla Community Garden to the organisations and individuals who donated money towards our insurance costs for the year. We actually received more donations then the entire cost of the insurance (which was the highest we could get). So now we have some more money left over that we will probably look at spending some on building a nice shelter for the compost worm farm. So thanks again we really appreciate the generosity and support that we continually receive. Continue reading “17 May 16 UCG Thank You + Event this Sunday the 22nd of May from 10am”
4 May 16 UCG Event this Sunday 8th of May from 10am
Hey Everyone,
We will be running our usual fortnightly event this coming Sunday from 10am. Im glad to say that I’m in much better shape and will defiantly be there! We will be probably focusing on seed collection if the pods are dry enough and the usual general upkeep of the garden. So if you want to come please bring water, gloves, work shoes, a hat and any other protective equipment you may need. Also any tools (especially wheelbarrows) you think would help with your activities in the garden.
Kind Regards,
